Pin + Backing Cards Update

All the pins have had their Pantone colors selected and their backing cards created! Here is a look at the pins on their cards.

For the hard enamel gold pin, I was able to get translucent pigment for the egg membrane that I think will look fantastic! I am very excited to see it. Based on the feedback I received, I went with a teal-green for the body. I really loved the blue, but I think this is most accurate.

Just a quick update on the design of the final stretch goal pin! These are some concepts I have been working on. Gold metal shows a little different than others so I am working how how to get the best contrast. Feel free to let me know your favorites!

Stretch Goals UNLOCKED!

All of the stretch goal pins have ben unlocked! Thats means there will be a total of 13 pins made! All those who order the complete set will get all 13 pins. I have made a new tier for this pledge level. 

Opinions and Ideas For The Final Pin

For the final pin design, I want to do something a little different from the series, below are my ideas. If you like any of these, let me know or feel free to voice your own idea! This final pin will be done in gold metal with a polished hard enamel surface, very fancy! 

1. A large dinosaur like Allosaurus or Utahraptor with 'glow in the dark' enamel pigments

2. A dinosaur egg pin with a dinosaur inside (basically a cut in half view of an egg)

4. A classic blast from the past dinosaur with the "dragging the tail on the ground"

Art Update + T-shirts + $5k Goal

First up, I am working on finalizing the pin artwork. I have gotten feedback from a few different groups as well as a very awesome professor to make sure these are as accurate as possible! There will be a color change on the Microraptor, it will now be black and blue to match the research papers. Otherwise there are just a few small changes that have been added. As you can see from the final artwork below, I am about half done. 

For the $4k Stretch goal, the egg design is winning thus far!

I have added the Tree of Life design to a few shirts and phone cases to my online shop for those who would like to sport the design. I am not offering these through the kickstarter due to the complexity of sizing and shipping, sorry!

 $5000 Stretch Goal

For this goal, I would like to add glow in the dark pigments to each of the pins. These pigments do not effect any of the color quality of the pins, but they will react under blacklight or when moved from a bright environment to a dark one. The pigments will be used on the eyes and a few select areas to make the creature 'pop' but not look ridiculous.
